Outgoing NYC Mayor and Israel sycophant, Eric Adams, bans BDS and falsely says it is antisemitic
TYT published a video showing that $300m in Israeli bonds and assets are held by NY City. The outgoing mayor, Adams, a sycophant of Israel who openly said to the Israelis "As Mayor of New York, I served you well" has introduced an order banning BDS and says BDS is "antisemitic". BDS is not antisemitic. He is a liar as well as a corrupt politician in the pocket of the Israelis.
Odd that Adams has not banned the Russian BDS or called such boycotts anti-Russian. Will the incoming Mayor (Mamdami) reverse Adam's Israel BDS order, given he is in favour of BDS?
The video also showed Netanyahu arrogantly challenging Mamdami to arrest him when he next visits NYC. Will Mamdami stick to his pledge to arrest Netanyahu, as he must under the UN arrest warrant? Will he have the guts or is he just another politician with a forked tongue?

Pro-Israel oil company blocks class action lawsuits
09 Dec 2025
FT.com published an article about a pro-Israeli company (it's called Zion oil & gas) that drills holes for oil based on "faith". Comments to the article include:
"As of September no revenues from drilling……. Maybe they’re studying the wrong bible"
"They also created two charitable foundations in Israel and Switzerland. Sounds like a legitimate, reputable company to me!"
My comment can be seen here.
Perhaps using faith to find oil explains why it has performed so poorly for its shareholders, though underperformance might also be because of possible misuse of investors' money - it is not clear how much the managers have personally gained from investors' money.
This company has now blocked shareholder class action lawsuits against it, which has caused alarm among shareholder rights activists:
“I think we’ll see an uptick of fraud because companies won’t face the public onslaught that could occur when they are caught engaging in malfeasance.”
The reason for including this story here is because it is about a zionist company and because it is another illustration of unfairness and unethical behaviour by the pro-Israeli faction. They are preventing minority shareholders from suing directors and managers for malpractice.
It is disgraceful that the SEC allowed this rule to pass because it protects majority shareholders and disadvantages minority shareholders, including the many retail sharholders who lack the financial resources to launch legal claims themselves so rely on class-action lawsuits.
There needs to be an investigation into why it was passed by the SEC and whether the SEC was bribed or coerced by lobby groups including AIPAC and other pro-Israeli lobby groups.

War criminal Tony Blair kicked off but not into touch, and FT.com continues its misinformation of Israeli atrocities
08 Dec 2025
War criminal, Tony Blair, has been kicked off the pathetically-named board of peace after dissent from "several Arab and Muslim states", according to a 08 Dec 2025 FT.com article, here.
That is good news for Palestinians, but it is no surprise that Blair is likely to exert his influence over Palestinians in another way - through the executive committee mentioned in the equally pathetically-named 'peace plan' that was shamefully endorsed by the UN Security Council.
The FT continued its misinformation about the genocide and ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the Israelis post 7 October 2023. They write: "The militant group [referring to Hamas], whose October 7 2023 attack triggered the war". The FT say "attack", when some would say it was not an attack but a prison break-out. The FT call it a "war", when it is a genocide and ethnic cleansing and starving to death of Palestinians by Israelis.
It's not clear why FT.com don't describe Hamas as a terrorist organisation, which is what they have been classed as by the terror states: USA, Israel, and the UK, and instead describes Hamas as a "militant group".

Pro-Israel lobby loses its digital propaganda battle for Netflix, but the war for Netflix continues
08/12/2025
Barely a day has passed and the pro-Israeli media conglomerate, Paramount (that lost out on the bid for Warner), has hit back with a hostile cash bid directly to Warner's shareholders. Its latest bid is backed by pro-Israeli Khushner, a bunch of Arab states, and finance houses. If Warner renege on their sale agreement, they'll have to pay a $3bn break fee to Netflix. The hostile bid is no surprise, nor is the rise in Warner's share price. FT.com article, here.
06 Dec 2025
FT.com published an article on a bid for Netflix.
The pro-Israel lobby has been bidding for Warner Brothers (WBS), so they may further their aim to twist or conceal the truth over the genocide and ethnic cleansing being perpetrated by the Israelis in Palestine, and the capture and control of US politicians, to name just a few of their crimes. There was not a single mention in the article about this aim.

Disgusting double standards at the Eurovision Song Contest, and more FT bias
04 Dec 2025
I reported on this contest in a post in Sep 2025. Its organiser, the European Broadcasting Unit (EBU) should hold its head in shame for allowing the Israelis to compete, and so should the many countries that have chosen to compete alongside the Israelis. In contrast to these reprobates, Ireland, Spain, Netherlands, and Slovenia can hold their head up high knowing they did the right thing by not mingling with such a bunch of dishonourable people.
Allowing the Israelis to compete is an outrageous example of the double standards of the EBU: it banned the Russians for their invasion of Ukraine but accepts the Israelis even though they have perpetrated a genocide of Palestinians; are ethnically cleansing Palestine; have starved Palestinians to death; destroyed their homes and their land, and murdered tens of thousands of Palestinian women and children. Israelis have broken the fake ceasefire and continued its campaign of murder and blocking humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
No one with even a modicum of humanity and shame could participate alongside the Israelis.
Yet again, the FT (04 Dec 2025 article link) revealed its bias, by saying the Israelis have been engaged in a: "devastating two-year war against Hamas in Gaza" as though Palestinian women and children and their homes, schools, hospitals, and homes were not targets of the Israelis. The FT gave space to Herzog. This is the Israeli who was photographed proudly writing messages on bombs; he claimed there are no innocent civilians in Gaza, thereby encouraging collective punishment of Palestinians - itself a war crime. This is the shameless person who heads an apartheid state.

West bank settlers, the Israeli government, and the IDF are all colluding as one movement to ethnically cleanse Palestine
04 Dec 2025
West Bank reporter, Jasper Nathaniel, was interviewed by Majority Report (link) about two stories.
The first was good news that the violent scumbag Israeli settler who was caught on video as he clubbed the Palestinian grandmother, has been charged with terrorism. Whether anything tangible and proportionate happens to him, remains to be seen, and Nathaniel is under no illusion anything that is fair and just, will actually happen to this scumbag. Nathaniel made the analogy that this scumbag is merely a foot soldier of the settler mafia and the dons remain in control and untouched by the authorities.
The other newsworthy story was of a US citizen, 15 years old: imprisoned for 9 months in an Israeli military 'torture camp' without trial, beaten, denied visits by his family, starved and forced to sign a confession under duress. Why? Because he threw a stone.
That was the plight of this boy and some children captured by the Israelis. They were released in early December 2025. For 5-6 months after he was kidnapped in Feb 2025 by the Israelis, there was no US government interest in his plight. The family and Nathaniel and other groups started a grasroots campaign targetting representatives to contact the Israeli embassy and the US government. A politician called Van Hollen "showed real moral clarity" said Nathaniel, in contrast to some US politicians, including Schumer and Jo Brand, who did nothing even when asked to help.
The Israeli embassy circulated a memo to politicians to smear the boy and encourage the politicians to stop supporting the boy. Netanyahu also spread a false claim about the boy. Prison evidence was released by the campaigners to the US politicians that contradicted what lawmakers were being told by Netanyahu and the Israeli embassy. That contradiction exposed the misinformation campaign of the Israelis and the dirty tricks spurred the US politicians to take action to get the boy released.
It took a grassroots campaign to shame and pressure the US politicians, who then caved and only then did they decide to pressure the Israelis and when they also caved, they released the American boy and the other boys.
"These kids are treated as terrorists by Israel in the same way as Hamas and subjected to the same conditions" said Nathaniel There are another 356 other children, that are known, in Israeli prisons.
The Israeli supreme court ordered (in Nov 2025) the Israeli government to increase the food to prisoners because they were being starved, but the scum bag Govir refused. "The conditions are barbaric; that's why they won't let the Red Cross in; it's why they won't let their families in to visit them...it's [Israeli military prisons] a network of torture camps" said Nathaniel, quoting an Israeli human rights group.
Nathaniel then went on to discuss the violent settlers in the West Bank and he broke the false narrative the Israelis spread - that the violence of the settlers is perpetrated by a fringe group and that the vast majority of settlers are decent folk. The reality is the opposite - another illustration of Israelis twisting the truth 180 degrees. "It's all one movement and the violent settlers are the tip of the spear" he said. He described the sequence of steps involving the violent settlers (VS) and non-violent settlers (NVS) and the government that has the effect of stealing Palestinian land: the NVS scan and select which plots of Palestinian land they want to steal. They instruct the VS to terrorise the Palestinians and drive them off their land. The VS then establish a camp on the stolen land; the NVS move in and establish a permanent settlement; the government authorises and approves the settlement as being genuine and 'legal'. The criticism by the military or the politicians of settler violence is fake and insincere rhetoric. Seder makes the point that the 'legal' settlements are actually illegal - because they are established on stolen Palestinian land.
Nathaniel says there are Israelis who oppose the settler movement but NO Israelis are actually pushing for the settlers to be removed from the west bank, and that is why settlements keep growing, and so different groups of Israelis are parts of the same settlement project.
Seder highlighted the trickle of reporting about what is happening in the West Bank, especially given its closeness to Tel Aviv, where many news organisations are based, is remarkable and telling. It means the few reports that do appear - from independent news platforms about what is happening in the west bank - such as the reporting on the ground by Nathaniel - are appreciated even more because of their rarity.

Catastrophic environmental damage caused by the Dresdenisation of Gaza by the Israelis

The international supply chain that enables the Israelis to commit genocide of Palestinians, and the destruction, and ethnic cleansing of Palestine
03 Dec 2025
PYM has been investigating the international supply chain that supplies Israelis with weapons to commit genocide, ethnic cleansing, and destruction of the civil infrastructure. One of the companies involved in that chain is Maersk. This article discusses their role in the supply chain, and this one from Declassified.

Twisted pro-Israeli, Hilary Clinton, says social media is a threat to democracy and young Americans.
03 Dec 2025
Watch this clip in a Breaking Points 03/12/25 video (at 11min 50 sec) where Hilary Clinton echoes Hurwitz and says Americans are being fed "propaganda" by watching tik tok and other social media. What a hypocrite she is. The information Americans have been fed for decades through tradional mainstream platforms such as CBS, Fox, MSN, CNN and the like, are NOT impartial nor truthful and are either pro-Israel, pro-Republican, or pro-Democrat party or a combination thereof.
Sami Hamdi (the interviewee) emphatically said Clinton was against Americans listening or watching any media channel except those authorised and approved by her kind, i.e., the pro-Israel supporters. Hamdi said Clinton was saying: "We [Clinton and her kind] are the gatekeepers of information" He said Clinton is also saying: "How dare Americans listen to sources other than those we filter?"
"This [the supply of information for Americans] is about: "Should Americans be allowed to see the truth of what is happening in the world or should they only have the right to listen to Hilary Clinton and listen to that which Israel deems to be legitimate information...?" said Hamdi.
No surprise then that Tik Tok has been taken over by staunchly pro-Israeli supporters to stifle that alternative point of view, and they are hoovering-up media channels to control and direct the narrative that is fed to Americans.
Clinton says alternative social media "is a serious problem for democracy...and it's a serious problem for our young people." It's pathetic for her to suggest people should not be allowed to get their news from alternative channels (social media) and that alt media is a threat to democracy.
As so often with those who spew Israeli propaganda, they twist reality 180 degrees. The risk is Americans NOT watching alternative media because then they will rely on channels owned by the pro-Israeli lobby and they'll be fed lies and pro-Israeli propaganda (as they have been for decades), yet Clinton says watching alt media IS a risk, so what she is saying is the opposite of the truth and rational thought.
Clinton says what people were being told (on social media) was "not just one-sided; it was pure propaganda" Again, she is twisting reality 180 degrees: what Americans are being fed by mainstream media is propaganda. What Americans are seeing on alt media is livestreamed genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestine by Israelis. That is the reality. That is the truth. What they are being fed on mainstream channels is partisan propaganda and lies.
Clinton was speaking at an event organised by Israel's largest newspaper (which is funded by Adelson), so clearly she has been bought by the Israelis and so is duty bound to be pro-Israel in her comments.

Judicial review of Palestine Action accused of being a stitch-up job in favour of UK government and its pro-Israel lobby
07 Dec 2025
Asa Winstanley wrote an article (27/11/25) about the unexplained and unusual change of the judge who was set to rule on the judicial review on Palestine Action, with a panel of three judges, one of whom is Victoria Sharp. Sharp's twin brother, is described as having Jewish heritage and being pro-Israel and he is a trustee of a charity alongside a pro-Israeli supporter, Trevor Chinn. Chinn funds Labour Friends of Israel.
When asked aboout the change of judge, the Ministry of Justice declined to comment - a disgraceful response from the government.
Victoria Sharp was reported as being an adviser to Robert Maxwell, who was reported as being an Israeli spy. Support for that claim can be found from the eulogy of an Israeli prime minister at Maxwell's state funeral: “He has done more for Israel than can be said here today,”
It is obvious therefore that the panel suddenly brought in for the judicial review is not without a conflict of interest given its links to Israel. Not surprisingly, therefore, this change of judge is regarded as a stitch-up by the UK government in favour of its pro-Israel backers.
Winstanley talks about the change of judges and his article, in a 06 Dec 25 video, here. In it he highlights multiple cases against anti-Israel and pro-palestine activists, that should not have been made (examples of 'lawfare').
ne involved an MP Alex Davies-Jones, who disgracefully pursued two pro-Palestine supporters, accusing them of harrassing her. It is also disgraceful that the two were convicted and not instead cautioned by police, i.,e., they were treated unnecessarily harshly by the police and the MP in pursuing a charge of harrassment. Their convictions were later overturned on appeal.
"less intrusive" measures such as a police warning or civil action were not pursued prior to prosecution." said the appeal judge. "Their arrest, prosecution, and conviction for harassment were an egregious affront on those rights [of free speech]" said the lawyer representing the two.

Palestine Action judical review ends. Where are the media?
02 Dec 2025
I stumbled across this video by Crispin Flintoff on the last day of the judicial review of the proscription of Palestine Action (PA). It reveals shocking examples of the UK government playing dirty: the original judge was replaced three days before the hearing by three judges and without any explanation for the change.
Further, the review included a closed session from which PA's lawyers were excluded and instead they were replaced by a government-appointed lawyer who was barred from discussing with the PA people or their lawyers what happened in that closed session. For all they know, the judges and the lawyers in that closed session watched the latest episode of Eastenders over tea and biscuits. "They've done [the UK government] everything they possibly can to fix the verdict"
What is also shocking is the absence of media outside the Royal Courts of Justice where the hearing took place. The reason for the corporate and state media being absent is because they either controlled by the state (the government) or they are owned by the billionaires who own the corporate media. and both support proscription. "There is no honest mainstream media".
He says the proscription was a panic response (panic, because the UK government has been exposed as being complicit in the genocide) and because it was unable to contain the public reaction over that complicity, it responded in an extreme authoritarian manner, in a panic without thinking it through, such as proscription.
Israeli-funded and pro-Israeli committee of UK MPs grill police chiefs over ban of racist thugs aka Israeli football fans
02 Dec 2025
I stumbled across this Declassified video today of senior UK police officers who were forced to come before the "British parliament's Home Affairs Select Committee to explain the decision [to ban violent and racist Israeli hooligans aka football fans] to a panel of MPs, most of which declared membership of - or donations from - 'Friends of Israel' groups." (link to the video, here).
You would think in a decent democratic society that the MPs on a committee whose aim is to consider the decision taken by the police, would act with impartiality and objectivity and with the aim of determining that the decision taken by the police was fair and reasonable and in the best interests of the British public.
It was a shock therefore to learn that the bunch of MPs on this cross-party committee have been given money or equivalent financial benefits by Israelis or pro-Israeli supporters. Not just the odd one or two MPs. See the image below of the committee members who are conflicted.
These MPs are either Jews or members of Israeli lobby groups, and one or more of them have been funded by these pro-Israel groups. All four MPs are "clearly anti-Palestinian" according to their voting records: Bradley's here; White's here; Kohler's here; Prinsley's here.
Many of the 682 Comments to the video are similarly outraged at the brazen conflicts of interest of these MPs. Here is a small sample:
"******* hell. Why are all these compromised 'politicians' involved in this?"
"Ziocash!"
"Vote no politician that takes Israel money"
"These British politicians are Israeli agents operating against British interests. Disgusting!!!!!!"
"Why are the israelis questioning our Police Chief."
"WTAF?! Is this an inquiry by the British or Israeli government?"
""Before we start, let's all [the MPs on this committee] declare how and why our opinions on this matter are biased and corrupt"
"I've never seen a bunch of politicians so vociferously support a bunch of notorious football hooligans from their own country, let alone thugs from another country. If any groups of fans sung chants abut ethnic cleansing, mass rape and mass slaughter of Israelis or Jews, then they would RGHTLY be banned and all of these politicians here would be backing that strongly."
"What a complete farce. The fact that just about every single politician on the panel stated they were either directly involved or had received donations from ISRL and/or groups directly tied immediately highlights their unsuitability for the panel/inquiry. Let alone the fact that the questioning of the police decision was ludicrous to begin with."
"Why are there Friends of Israel and people receiving payments from Israel allowed to sit on this panel?? They are clearly biased by their own admission and shouldn't be on the panel!"
"Those “friends of Israel” should face The Hague."
"Every single politician there is compromised. We’re all screwed."
"So, basically, apart from the officers, everyone else around the table is either a Zio or has received money from Zios You're doing great, Britain!"
"All credit to the Police and local councillors for holding their ground under such governmental pressure to allow these so-called fans to attend. Please tell me why these officers are now having to justify protecting the British public to this panel of people funded and declared friends of a foreign state! What a complete waste of time and money!"
"Why are this bunch of people with declared israeli interests quizing the police for doing their job, i find it outragous!"

Netanyahu the murderer grovels and lies for a pardon
01 Dec 2025
FT.com published an article about Netanyahu that marks a new low for even this low-life. On the one hand, he has asked for a pardon and on the other, he has lied and said he is not asking for the pardon for his sake but for the sake of the people: “Despite my own personal interest to continue the trial and prove my innocence up to my full acquittal, I believe the public interest directs me differently,”
Like so many other instances, the Israelis twist reality 180 degrees so truth becomes their lies and their lies become the truth.
What is surprising, given the barbarity and inhumanity these Israelis have unleashed on Palestinians, is they have not pardoned the murderer yet. The pardoner, Herzog, is another low-life - he signs bombs aimed at innocent Palestinians and says no Palestinian is innocent - clearly a call for genocide. Perhaps there is a strong enough faction of decent Israelis to deter these murderers and war criminals from issuing the pardon.
Netanyahu has managed to stretch his trial out for years, just as he has managed to stretch the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine for so long - by repeatedly breaking or preventing ceasefires - to stay in power and defer his trial.

Israeli BDS rally in Ealing 30 Nov 2025
I helped hand out leaflets on Sunday to Ealing residents passing by, and to ask them to sign the petition calling on Ealing council to stop investing in Israeli companies or companies that support Israeli genocide and ethnic cleansing.
US politicians and Netanyahu feast on the blood and bodies of murdered Palestinians for "Friendsgiving"
30 Nov 2025
Israel Friendsgiving staged a theatrical demonstration on 21 Nov 2025 in Washington DC to highlight the atrocities being perpetrated by the US-Israel axis of evil in Palestine. The protestors held a "thanksgiving" dinner with a twist - they ate body parts of murdered Palestinians and they drank their blood.
I guess the event was timed to coincide with the so-called Thanksgiving celebration currently underway in the US. I don't know exactly who celebrates this or what they give thanks for, but this protest gave people a different perspective and hopefully increased awareness of the terror of the Americans and the Israelis on Palestinians.
A 30-sec video clip explaining the purpose of the Friendsgiving is here. A longer clip on Instagram by Itzmagicman, is here, and some stills of this clip can be seen below. A longer description may be seen here on Kim Iversen's video, here. Warning: the images are disturbing so be prepared.
Note the Menu (see the larger image below) that exposes the barbarity of the Israelis: child amputees; organ removal; skin harvesting. Such human body parts brings to mind the Nazis processing Jews' body parts in WWII.(see for example this ref).
The big difference between then and now is today, Israeli inhumanity, genocide and ethnic cleansing are being streamed live to the world every day, yet the powerful and the elites instead of acting to stop the Israelis, actively support them: militarily, politically, financially, and legally (UNSC resolution).
"You're more mad about protest than you are about genocide", said Blumenthal of the "ethno-supremacist" pro-Israelis who are outraged about the theatrical demonstration portraying US politicians and Netanyahu feasting on body parts of murdered Palestinians. (01/12/2025 video )

A UN security council resolution condoning Palestinian genocide.
29 Nov 2025
In a video on 29 Nov 2025 with Napolitano, Wilkerson says of the recent UNSC adoption of the Trump fake peace plan: "We have a security council resolution condoning genocide."
He adds that not a single day has passed where the Israelis have not murdered at least a dozen people in either Lebanon or Palestine since the ceasefires in either Lebanon or Palestine.
He says what was happening before the fake ceasefire in Gaza will continue on a slow burner, i.e., the Israelis will continue to commit genocide and ethnically cleanse Palestine.

Protest rally opposite Downing Street 29 November 2025
29 Nov 2025
It started off as a wet miserable day today but the rain did not stop 100,000 decent people who came to speak out against the atrocities being committed by the Israelis and to show their support for the fight against the Israelis and their enablers (which includes the UK government) of genocide and ethnic cleansing.
I arrived very late but still managed to capture some of the messages on placards and the atmosphere along Whitehall. The speakers' stage was assembled opposite Downing Street so hopefully Starmer and his other genocide enablers will have heard the message loud and clear.
Another peaceful and civilised event, and again orthodox Jews were out with their banners distancing themselves from the barbaric Jews committing genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine, and no troublemakers from the pro-Israeli faction visible nor audible.
People use these rallies and large gatherings to raise awareness of their particular causes, which might be unrelated to the main event, or to sell their products. Often there are also beggars or people selling magazines or newspapers (such as Socialist Worker or papers supporting communism). A couple of the images below relate to a protest about the Bahrain regime and shows images of current and former prime ministers shaking hands with, I guess, representatives of that regime. I picked up a leaflet not knowing what the banner was about (read it here). The leaflet talks of the regime's incarceration and torture of people (human rights abuses) including very young people, and its anti-democracy stance.
I also saw at this event banners showing images of "hunger strikers" and a large placard with names of such people (see images below). Again, I was ignorant of the story behind these images. A quick search revealed details - they are Palestine Action protestors who have been imprisoned by the UK government and who are on a rolling hunger strike to protest at: "UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood failed to respond to a letter outlining demands relating to their treatment. These included immediate bail and an end to prison interference with their personal communications, as well as lifting the ban on Palestine Action." (ref).
Peace, human rights, freedom of speech, and democracy are often taken for granted and not given a thought. When they are taken away, the loss is felt. High time therefore, for more people to wake up and defend these precious pillars of human existence. Call them rights or gifts; it matters nought. What is important is to defend them whenever they are attacked by low lifes.

The double standards of the Americans and the Israelis that perpetuate their global hegemony and apartheid of Palestinians
28 Nov 2025
I stumbled across this 27 Nov 2025 video by Mearsheimer in which he warns of conflict over Taiwan. His narrative helped me to understand a fact that has irritated me immensely for a long time: why the US is a perennial troublemaker internationally.
Mearsheimer says the US deliberately engages in coercian with China: containment through the establishment of military bases in partnership with strategic allies, expanding the borders of NATO, sanctions, technology restrictions, military encirclement, and diplomatic isolation.
It justifies its actions by claiming it is attacking Chinese authoritarianism, repression, and China's threat to "liberal international order" and the US claims it has a moral duty to counter China in order to stand up for democracy, freedom, and universal values.
Mearsheimer says the US has wanted to monopolise global influence and hegemony and could not bear the ascendancy of another global power (China). He says China did not bow to US hegemony but instead chose to assert its rights as a global power and did so by establishing military might to oppose the US military force, and forming strategic alliances with other nations across the globe, including with the Russians.
He says control of Taiwan is significant to China as it opens the door to the world so for China the debate is not over democracy or authoritarianism but China's access to the world beyond the Western Pacific.
It seems to me that the US in supporting Taiwan militarily and politically, and by building up a military presence around Taiwan, the US has emboldened the Taiwanese government and the US has triggered a confrontation with China that could have been avoided has the US stayed clear of Taiwan as long as China continued to stay clear of Taiwan.
Mearshemimer likens the behaviour of the US to the equivalent scenario where the Chinese provided military support to a US neighbour: Canada or Mexico or established military bases in those countries, or China supported the secession of California or Texas. The US would consider these as acts of war, so why is the US shocked when China takes the same view over what the US is doing with Taiwan? It is because the US is applying double standards, says Mearsheimer.
"This is the fundamental failure of American strategic thinking: we apply a double standard" The US justifies encircling other countries as maintaining order and defending democracy, but when those encircled strengthen militarily and form strategic alliances, the US calls them acts of aggression and destabilisation.
It's the same double standards used by the Israelis: they incarcerate Palestinian civilians in an open air concentration camp and claim that is normality, so when Palestinians break out of that prison, the Israelis say it is an act of war. The Israelis then use the justifiable break-out as justification to commit genocide, collective punishment, and to ethnically cleanse Gaza of Palestinians.
The Israelis and the Americans require the Palestinians to give up their weapons as part of a fake peace plan touted by Trump, yet there is no equal requirement on the Israelis to give up their weapons or to withdraw from the land of the Palestinians they occupy illegally.
The Americans and the Israelis claim they are democracies yet they do not allow Palestinians the right to vote in their own land (ref). That is not democracy, that is apartheid. More double standards.
Later the same day, I stumbled across another video by Mearsheimer (published 28 Nov 2025) that provides another example of American double standards in operation. This time in relation to the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Most in the west blame the Russians but don't see or are not told by politicians and the media, the wider story. Mearsheimer explains that US is responsioble for the conflict because NATO expanded eastward and that posed an "immediate existential threat to their [Russia's] security" and that is why they invaded Ukraine. The west would have you believe it was a Russian land grab but it was in response to the US and the west's NATO strategy.
Mearsheimer again exposes the double standards of the US. He says it is equivalent to Russia forming a military alliance with Mexico and placing military bases and weapons along the border with the US. The US would understandably not tolerate that encroachment and it would see it as a threat - which is exactly how Russia reacted, yet the US and the Europeans are opposing Putin and his invasion and supporting Ukraine, and they falsely portray the invasion as Russian imperialism and a land grab. Mearsheimer says Putin invaded sooner rather than when Ukraine was fully loaded with NATO forces and infrastructure.
He says NATO must not be in Ukraine nor a member of NATO and Russia might withdrawe and return occupied Ukraine land, but not Crimea. One point that I found concerning was Mearsheimer said a benefit of the US withdrawing support for Ukraine would mean it could spend more on containing China.
"containing China should be America's top priority with everything else, including Ukraine, being secondary." he said.
If he really meant that, he is encouraging US hegemony. I sent him an email on 30 Nov 2025 expressing my concern with his comments on containment, saying "I strongly disagree with what you are personally advocating (you are not simply quoting US policy)."

Mearsheimer was right about the Israeli lobby
Many articles have recently appeared online about research published almost 20 years ago, by two academics, Mearsheimer and Waltz, that exposed the systemic infiltration of the Israeli lobby in US politics and their orientation of US foreign policy to put the interests of the Israelis first not America first.
The research revelations caused quite a stir in 2006 and triggered the Israeli lobby into action to denounce the research as fake and antisemitic and to smear and ostracise the academics. The irony is, that 'attack and destroy' campaign exemplified in real time the Israeli lobby that the researchers said existed but which the pro-Israeli lobby said did not exist. It is yet another example of how twisted the pro-Israeli lobby is - what they say is very often the opposite of reality, i.e., they lie.
The reason why there is so much public interest now about something that happened decades ago, is because emails of a scumbag have recently been published and they reveal his campaign to smear the two academics and their work. He was aided and abetted in that smear campaign by another pro-Israeli, Alan Dershowitz.
One article, by Drop Site, published on 25 Nov 2025, mentions this smear campaign. It also shows similar efforts by another pro-Israeli, Jeffrey Goldberg. Goldberg said the accusations (of the existence of an Israeli lobby) had also been made in ancient times, i.e., it appears the Israeli lobby is not a recent creation but might have operated in ancient times and over the ensuing millennia.
Goldberg claimed the research was antisemitic. A typical reaction of the pro-Israeli lobby to criticism of Israelis is to immediately say it is antisemitic. I have not read the paper these academics wrote (nor the book that derived from it) but it's possible they were not critical of the Israelis but rather they just presented the facts about the Israeli lobby. Even if the academics' paper was critical of the Israeli lobby, that would still not justify Goldberg or anyone else, calling their work, antisemitic.
Mearsheimer did suffer from the attacks on him by the lobby and to their shame, sections of academia also shunned him. He has, however been proven to be right about the infiltration of the Israeli lobby and its impact on US politics. He has been in demand from independent media channels that have mushroomed in recent years, to talk about the workings of the Israeli lobby and the genocide of Palestinians by the Israelis. He is mentioned many times on this website.

FT.com and its euphemisms for US political persecution of students speaking up about the genocide in Palestine
27 Nov 2025
FT.com article today on the drift of students to the EU away from the US. The drop in US applications of just 1% versus the double-digit rise in EU and UK, is not hard evidence that students are shunning the US. My criticism of the article, however, was about it did not mention free speech or the persecution of students who spoke up about the genocide in Palestine. I posted the following comment (I later realised I should have said "applications" not "admissions", and it was too late to edit the comment):
"It is clear there are many factors at play and a reduction of just 1% in US admissions does not show there has been any significant effect from the shocking clampdown on students by the US government.
In that regard, it is disappointing the FT did not mention the US government's shameful persecution and expulsion of students who exercised their right to free speech over the US-Israel genocide of Palestinians.
Perhaps the FT will claim it did refer to student persecution in the US, but cunningly or cowardly, it chose to camouflage it with euphemisms such as: "Trump bump" and "political turbulence".
FT.com article today on the drift of students to the EU away from the US. The drop in US applications of just 1% versus the double-digit rise in EU and UK, is not hard evidence that students are shunning the US. Why Russia and China did not veto the UNSC resolution
25 Nov 2025
Finally, a video that tries to explain why the Russiand and the Chinese (R&C), abstained on, rather than vetoed, the shameful UNSC resolution on 17 Nov that meant Trump and the Israelis (the Axis powers, AP) will become a colonial power in Gaza able to run amok with impunity and with the blessing of the UNSC.
Grayzone's Max Blumenthal and Aaron Mathe gave some suggestions on why R&C abstained:
1) because they did not want to be responsible for the likely genocide resuming if they vetoed the resolution. The Americans admitted it would mean war, which I think is code for looking the other way while Israelis resume genocide and ethnic cleansing.
2) they did not want to be isolated
3) they did not opopose the decion of the arab states, including the Palestinian Authority and Turkey, to adopt the resolution
4) Russia did not want to jeopardise talks with Trump regarding Russia's conflict with Ukraine
5) China and Russia did not want to jeopardise trade links with the Israelis, or Russia's diplomatic links with Turkey. R&C also have trade links with the arab states
6) the Palestinians weren't worth it and respecting international law wasn't worth the fallout of a veto.
The passing of the UNSC resolution empowers Israel said Mate, and it confirms the Axis have no regard for Palestinians' inalienable right of self-determination.
Blumenthal reckoned the ceasefire is not over because the Israelis: continue to murder Palestinians, they target Hamas, and they have moved the yellow line farther west (expropriating more Palestinian land) so it's likely Hamas will be provoked into retaliating; they attacked a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon; they attacked a community center.

Colonising Palestine is the latest iteration of western imperialism
25 Nov 2025
I was surprised to hear the word "securitisation" used in relation to the tragedy occurring in Palestine.
Craig Mokhiber mentioned it on the Katie Halper video while discussing the shameful UNSC resolution that endorsed the also shameful trump so-called peace plan. He said: "Securitsation is going to be imposed under this plan, externally by the United States and othe complicit countries."
Mokhiber made some interesting comparisons between Trump's scheme to control Gaza for his personal benefit, and similar manoeuvres by other imperialists in the past.
a) He mentioned the multinational coalition of eight countries, including the US and the UK, that invaded northern China in 1900 and fought the Chinese and pillaged their country. (ref).
b) He mentioned the Belgian, Leopold II, who took Congo for himself - a theft that was approved by European colonial nations. He installed his own mercenaries and proceeded to plunder the land of its natural wealth and subjected the civilians to brutality "including forced labour, torture, murder, kidnapping, and the amputation of the hands of men, women, and children when the quota of rubber was not met." (ref).
I could add another:
c) "Why should we not form a secret society with but one object, the furtherance of the British Empire and the bringing of the whole world under British rule...Africa is still lying ready for us. It is our duty to take it." said the English imperialist, Cecil Rhodes, before he snuffed out resistance and took African land he renamed "Rhodesia". (ref)

Why oppressors wield their power to maintain the status quo
25 Nov 2025
The subject matter of this Ft.com article is far removed from the tragedy occurring in Palestine, but the two worlds are related because they illustrate the use of power to maintain the status quo and make the powerless suffer as a consequence:
"A lot of space in this piece has been wasted, in my opinion, describing the oddity and spectacle of floor trading. The key issue has been buried and hardly mentioned: "This is profitable for them but makes the exchange less transparent and puts off some investors."
As with other products and services, banks want to maintain the status quo because it preserves the opacity and asymmetry (O&A) of their activities that fuels their profits. If O&A were removed (by moving trading to an exchange) banks would suffer, so they resist attempts to change. As long as banks wield the power to block change, they will continue to rake in profits and others will lose, so the LME will not prosper.
An analogy is the power wielded by the Israeli-US axis of evil (banks) from which they benefit, Palestinians (punters) lose, and the Middle East (LME) does not prosper."
The concept of maintaining the status quo was raised when the Majority Report interviewed Robert Malley on 25 Nov 2025. He is the co-author of a book with Hussein Agha, called "Tomorrow Is Yesterday: Life, Death, and the Pursuit of Peace in Israel/Palestine". The book is a history of the peace process between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
"This has been a game that has suited almost everyone other than the [Palestinan] people themselves. It suited US foreign policy interests, it suited Israel; it suited the arab states*... it's even suited the Palestinian Authority because it has been living on the largesse of foreign assistance.. and it has developed its own corrupt inner circle...That is why it [the conflict] has been sustained for so long, because so many interests have converged...finding benefit and profitting from the status quo." he said.
*In response to the observation that the arab states have been hands-off in relation to the plight of the Palestinians, he said: they've been hands-off because the arab states have been complicit and they've have paid lip service (to the cause of the Palestinians). These arab states get economic, military, and security benefits by keeping a cosy relationship with the Americans
He dismissed the two-state solution as fake and a cover, and the idea of one state where Palestinians and Jews can live together. He says "Unfortunately, the most likely outcome is the status quo only getting worse: more ethnic cleansing, more displacement of Palestinians, more land grabs" He had no answer for the hope of both sides co-existing peacefully and each side governing itself. He said there would need to be change on all THREE sides (Palestinian, Israeli, and American). He said why would the Israelis change when the status quo suits them? He said the Palestinians need to be allowed to form a movement that represents the will of the people, and said the PA does not serve that role because it does not represent the Palestinian people (and Palestinians don't support the PA). Rather, the PA is self-serving and is propped-up by foreign interests. He notes foreigners have scuppered chances of consolidation and the formation of a single voice of Palestinians (for fear the representatve might not suit the foreigners), and foreign interests have fragmented Palestinians.

Drop Site enables Palestinian leaders to be heard
24 Nov
Jeremy Scahill gave an interview on Breaking Points on 24 Nov 2025. He co-authored a 23 Nov 2025 article with Jawa Ahmad on Drop Site, parts of which he mentioned in his interview, but the article has much more besides.
It is also worth reading as it presents the Palestinans' perspective, something that is shamefully missing in western mainstream media that instead presents a biased Israeli and US perspective (link).
Scahill said the Palestinian resistance had a reasonable and moderate proposal that he urged negotiators to recognise.
In essence the proposal was a long-term truce with the Israelis and the imposition of a UN peacekeeping force and a Palestinian police force that would prevent and restrain anyone from brandishing weapons.
"Telling the people that have had a genocide committed against them, now is the time that you have to be stripped of all your weapons, is a sick sentiment that is being foisted upon the Palestinian people." Scahill said.
Scahill said the fake peace plan touted by Trump was a win for Israel because Israel was not winning in Gaza militarily so the plan enabled the intended "annihilation" of Palestinians to be rebranded as a peace plan that requires Hamas to give up its weapons.
Those who approved the UNSC resolution and those who will facilitate it, are each betraying the right of people (Palestinians) to self-determination, and their right to armed resistance to an illegal occupier (Israelis). Netanyahu was unsurprisingly enthusiastic the resolution was adopted as he envisioned Israeli subjugation, if not erasure, of Palestinians: “We believe that President Trump‘s plan will lead to peace and prosperity, because it insists upon full demilitarization, disarmament, and the deradicalization of Gaza.” (ref)
"the history of the occupation shows you clearly that Israel is not willing to give up. If you want us to surrender the weapons, what’s next? There is no answer. It means that either they will kill you or they will kick you out.” Hamdan (ref)
“Israel has become known as a racist state, committing crimes openly in front of the entire world, and is being pursued in international courts. This is the new Israel." Al-Hindi (ref)
“Our struggle is against Israel and inside Palestine, and we are defending ourselves. We are national liberation movements, and we are ready to establish relations with everyone on that basis.” Al-Hindi (ref)

FT.com misreporting
24 Nov 2025
I came across this FT.com article published in Mar 2025, which says at the outset:
"New military leadership, with far right’s support, draws up drastically harsher proposal to destroy Hamas" and
"Israel’s military has drawn up plans to reconquer Gaza in a bid to finally defeat Hamas, paving the way for a long-running occupation of the besieged enclave."
Note the article says the Israelis intend to destroy "Hamas" and to "reconquer Gaza in a bid to finally defeat Hamas"- both intentions are ruses; misleading words that deceive the world into believing the Israelis were fighting a "militant group" and no one else.
The real intention was the Israelis were drawing up plans to render Gaza inhabitable by destroying its civilian infrastructure and its agricultural land, and simultaneously to ethnically cleanse Palestine of Palestinians and murder as many Palestinians either by bullets, bombs, or starvation. The article was published in March 2025. Events since then have proven this real intention to be true and the defeat of Hamas to be false.

Israelis show contempt for ceasefire agreements by murdering hundreds of civilians in Lebanon and Palestine. More FT.com misreporting
24 Nov 2025
FT.com published an article about an Israeli attack in Lebanon, saying the Israeli:
"Raid is first on Lebanese capital since June and puts further strain on year-long ceasefire"
It is disgusting that the FT did not state this attack for what it was: a breach of the ceasefire by the Israelis. Instead the FT journos said the "raid" put a "strain on the year-long ceasefire". The Israelis did more than strain the ceasefire, THEY BROKE IT!
The article included footage of fire balls mushrooming as bombs exploded, yet the FT footnote said: "Israel released footage of its strike on a Hizbollah military commander in Beirut" as if the attack only struck the guy and no one else and nothing else. This was not an Israeli lone sniper aiming at an individual, it was an unannounced Israeli air attack that caused death and destruction far beyond one person. More misreporting by the FT.
The Israeli attack murdered five people and injured 28 injured and to underline the inhumanity and complete disregard for innocent human life, the Israelis did not give a warning of their attack "in a densely packed residential neighbourhood". The FT journos should be credited for exposing the inhumanity of the Israelis for bombing a densely populated area, with a high probability civilians would be murdered as a result.
The militants should be equally condemned IF they deliberately took cover in a residential neighbourhood and thereby used innocent civilians as a human shield, knowing full well of the contempt the Israelis have for innocent civilians.
The Israelis have no regard for ceasefires: Netanyahu said as much: “Israel is determined to act to achieve its goals anywhere and at any time”.
Israel has "continued to strike Lebanon on a near-daily basis, killing more than 300 people since the ceasefire" and an equal number have been murdered by the Israelis in Gaza since its fake ceasefire in Gaza began in October.
As usual, the FT blocked any comments.

Trump the hypocrite
24 Nov 2025
FT.com published an article on the G20 summit in South Africa (SA) and noted Trump did not attend and his criticism of SA as the host. I posted a comment showing Trump is a hypocrite and highlighting his complicity in the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Gaza (see below). I got a message saying "Your comment has been submitted and will be reviewed by a moderator" so it might not be accepted by the FT.
"it was a “total disgrace” that South Africa hosted the event" says Trump, who is partnering with the Israelis in the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, murders boat people, and makes death threats to US Democrats, to name just a few of his crimes.
What a hypocrite!"

More FT.com bias - Judicial review of Palestine Action begins
24 Nov 2025
FT.com published an article today on the Palestine Action review. My analysis of the article showed more views were reported that support the ban than oppose it (8:6), and (as seen in an earlier FT article (see my 19 Nov 2025 post on another tab)), the views of the prosecution were presented but not the views of the defence. It therefore seems to me the FT are again biased in their coverage of Palestine-Israel.

Chinese government betrays the Palestinians at the UN
23 Nov 2025
The abstentions of the Chinese and the Russians in the UN Security Council's resolution over Gaza were shamefull betrayals of the Palestinians because their abstentions handed Gaza over to Trump and the Israelis, denied Palestinians their right to self-determination and to peace, and allowed the Israelis and the Americans to continue their genocide and ethnic cleansing.
The decision is in stark contrast to support the Chinese ghovernment and the Chinese people, have given to the Palestinian cause. In Feb 2024, China told the ICJ:
‘The Palestinian-Israeli conflict stems from Israel’s prolonged occupation of Palestinian territory’ and that ‘in pursuit of the right to self-determination, the Palestinian people’s use of force to resist foreign oppression and to complete the establishment of an independent state is an inalienable right well founded in international law’. (ref)
There is a dearth of explanation for the Chinese abstention, but I did find this 22 Nov 2025 video of an interview of Zhang Sheng by Pascal Lottaz.
Sheng describes how the Israeli embassy in China tried to get the Chinese government to condemn the 7 Oct 2023 breakout of the open air prison that is Gaza. The Chinese government did make a general statement supporting peace and condemning violence against civilians, but the government refused to bow to the specific demands of the Israelis or to give a pro-Israeli anti-Hamas statement similar to that given by pro-Israel politicians in Europe and the US.
The Israeli embassy was miffed and so it went online in China and spread fake news to try to sway Chinese public opinion in favour of the Israelis and against the Palestinians. One fake report involved an Israeli citizen who has a Chinese mother and who was taken as a hostage.
Sheng says the Chinese people are supportive of the Palestinians (and call them 'dandelions' to reflect their resilience to survive the harsh environment they face). This popular sympathy and support makes it all the more puzzling that the Chinese at the UN abstained rather than vetoed the resolution. The puzzle is not so hard to solve because government policy does not always reflect the will and mood of the people.
"Ever since 7 October, the Chinese netizens have been overwhelmingly in support of the Palestinian struggle by all means, including armed struggle." Zhang Sheng, Mar 2025 (ref)
Sheng says the Israelis discussed how to punish the Chinese for not bowing to their demands on how to respond publicly, in a pro-Israeli way, about the events in Gaza. The Israeli embassy excluded undesirable comments on their online platform and left others on, i.e., for a country (Israel) that claims to be a democracy - perhaps calling itself the only democracy in the middle east, it was seen to be manipulating comments on its online platform to show only those it approved of and excluded the critical comments. So much for free speech.
He mentioned a long history (40 years) of relationships between Israel and China. China's government was very pro-Palestine many years ago but that declined as trade relations increased between the countries, however, he says young Chinese have a very negative perception of the Israelis. He said Chinese often make the comparison of what the Israelis are doing in Gaza to what the Japanese and German Fascists did in WWII.
On the key question: why did the Chinese not veto and instead abstain? He gives a fuzzy and unclear possible reasons, including: the Chinese did not have sufficient motivation to use the veto. He also thinks a reason was the Chinese did not take the UN seriously given past efforts by the Chinese and others to stop the genocide proved useless in stopping the Israelis, so he thinks the Chinese no longer took the UN seriously and so abstained.
Both plausible reasons are not credible in my opinion. The consequences of abstaining were so great for the Palestinians that the Chinese had to take the resolution very seriously and so they had to veto for the sake of the Palestinians. Lattaz suggested the Chinese had no confidence in the rule of law actually being obeyed by the Israelis and the US, so even if the Chinese did veto, the veto would not achieve anything of value to the Palestinians (the Israelis and the US would then still do as they chose regardless of the veto), so the Chinese thought: why pick a fight with the US and the Israelis by vetoing the resolution and let us instead just abstain. Sheng agreed with this assessment of why the Chinese did not use their veto. Sheng suggested that the only way to stop the Israelis was resistance on the ground in Palestine - perhaps he was expressing the thoughts of the Chinese and why they abstained, i.e., the only way to stop the Israelis is local resistance and international law is not going to be a deterrant, so a veto won't help.
Sheng says the Chinese government supports the principle of the right of armed struggle against an invader, i.e., the Israelis invading Palestine. The Chinese do not consider Hamas a terrorist group. The interview also discussed the meaning of the term "terrorist" and that it is an abstract and ambiguous term.
Zhang Sheng wrote a long article in Mar 2025 in Mondoweiss that covers some of the points, and more, mentioned in the interview above.
See this Oct 2025 article on the relative silence of Russia and China on the genocide in Gaza. See this Aug 2025 TRT article which says China has said (in its 2024 human rights report, issued by the State Council Information Office), "The United States has been serving as an accomplice to the genocide in Gaza,” and: Washington “has exercised its veto power seven times to block United Nations Security Council resolutions calling for a ceasefire.” Is telling to see that the Chinese have singled out the US, i.e., they have NOT said Israel is committing the genocide.
See this June 2025 article on the cosy trading and diplomatic relationship between Israel and China and the supply of chinese drones to the Israelis, and the $19bn of exports to Israel by China in 2024, almost double that of the US.
My view is the reason the Chinese abstained was they wanted to protect their trade and diplomatic ties with the Israelis. In so doing, in my opinion, the Chinese government has lost credibility and respectability on the world stage and in the eyes of its people.
Wang Yi, the Chinese Foreign Minister, said on 18 Nov 2025: “Any post-conflict arrangement for Gaza should reflect the fundamental principle of ‘the Palestinians governing Palestine’ and must adhere unwaveringly to the ‘two-state solution'” (ref). Too little, too late, and he did not give a reason for the abstention rather than veto.

US politician, Marjorie Taylor Greene, has resigned. I have no interest in this woman; I mention her only in relation to Palestine. I posted my comment about a FT.com 22/11/25 article on her, that mentioned the genocide in Palestine:
"To her credit, she is one of a very small number of US politicians who called the atrocities perpetrated by the Israelis (and by its fixer, the US) in Gaza a genocide, but to her shame, she did so belatedly.
The DC swamp will be one member fewer.
Good riddance."

Trump the murderer is openly making death threats to US politicians
22 Nov 2025
Trump is without doubt a murderer - just look, for example, at what he has done to boat people and to Palestinians, and to people around the world who died when USAID was cut.
He has now made death threats to US democrats who had earlier warned Americans not to carry out orders that are illegal or unconstitutional (see image below) of his Tweet (ref).
Trump's latest threats are further proof that he is not fit for office and he is not decent nor is he a humane person.
Far from leading by example and choosing his words with care, Trump's threats are encouraging people to make death threats and to murder these democrats, and some of those democrats are now being given 24/7 protection.

"Better the devil you know than the one you don't"

FT.com published an article today about a secretive broker organising the removal by air of Palestinians who have chosen to flee rather than continue to suffer from the genocide, starvation and ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the Israelis and their enablers across the globe.
The organisation is in league with the Israelis who, like the Americans, want to ethnically cleanse Palestine of Palestinians.
“In Gaza, we were all like the living dead...like any person in Gaza, I searched for a way to survive that hell.” said one of the Palestinians who fleed.
What is shocking is these Palestinians do not know where they are heading. The article says they landed in South Africa and were kept onboard for 12 hours before being given 90-day visas. They are currently being supported by South African charities, but what if that ends?
Imagine the shock of landing in a country at the foot of a human rights index, such as in China, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, or Rwanda - a destination to which the UK government desperately tried to send its asylum seekers.
Palestinans' desperation to flee from the atrocities heaped on them day after day for years by the Israelis is understandable, but while they are saying good riddance to one vile oppressor, they might be heading into the clutches of another. Like they say: "better the devil you know than the one you don't"

More FT.com biased reporting and misinformation
21 Nov 2025
FT.com published a 17 Nov 2025 article on the UN Security Council's approval of a plan touted by Trump and his lackeys. Parts of it have been rejected by Hamas and no country has so far agreed to be part of the force to be deployed in Gaza.
FT.com refers to Gaza as the "war-ravaged Gaza Strip" a description that fails to attribute the ravaging to the Israelis' Dresdenisation of Gaza - a bombing campaign that has razed Gaza to the ground and left it looking like Hiroshima after the US dropped its nuclear bomb.
FT.com says Hamas fought a war with Israel "which lasted more than two years." Again, the FT fails to add that the war waged by the Israelis was mostly against the Palestinian civilians not against Hamas when looked at in terms of the numbers of people murdered by the Israelis or at the extent of civilian infrastructure razed to the ground by Israeli bombs. As a minimum, the FT should have said the Israelis waged their war on Palestinian civilians and Hamas.
FT.com repeated its claim that the 10 Oct 2025 ceasefire was tenuous: "tenuous ceasefire took hold between Hamas and Israel", but it remains a false claim. The ceasefire has not held in relation to Palestinian civlians. The Israelis are engaging in stop-start ceasefire tactics and despite a ceasefire, they continue to bomb and murder hundreds of innocent Palestinians. When it suits them, the Israelis resume the "ceasefire".
FT.com said Hamas "retains control of almost half of the besieged enclave." but FT.com did not mention the Israelis occupy 53% of Gaza (according to Scahlill-see post below), and they occupy it illegally, and the Israelis also illegally occupy the West Bank.
It is not clear why the FT points out how much of Gaza Hamas controls and controls legally, but does not say how much the Israelis occupy or that they illegally occupy Palestinian lands. One reason might be FT.com bias for Israelis and against Palestinians.
Since the FT has pointed out how much of Gaza Hamas controls, it's worth making another distinction between the illegal occupiers (the Israelis) and the legal occupiers (Hamas): unlike the Israelis, Hamas has not illegally occupied a foreign land, it has not razed that foreign land's infrastructure to the ground; it has not starved its civilians to death; it has not ethnically-cleansed the foreigh land of its inhabitants; it has not committed genocide of those people.

UN Security Council and Arab states turn their backs on international law and on the Palestinians, and bow to US and Israeli colonialism
20 Nov 2025
The UN Security Council (UNSC) adopted Resolution 2803 (2025) on 17 Nov 2025 (read the text, here).
The Majority Report spoke to Jeremy Scahill about the UN security council's appalling approval of the imposition of what could be described as a mercenary force (ISF), that is not under UN control, to control Palestinians (watch the video here from 24 mins). He also talks about the sham peace plan and the Israelis' occupation of Gaza and the denial of Palestinians their right to self-determination. He says Palestinians will not give up their arms, a condition of the UN-endorsed plan touted by Trump and his goons.
He makes the powerful and basic point that if Palestine were operated as a democracy then Palestinians would have the right to vote and they, not the Israelis or other foreign powers, would rule and they (Palestinians) would be masters of their destiny.
Scahill said in a Drop Site interview on 20 Nov 2025, that the UN approval of the resolution was an act that was unheard of, because that approval endorses Trump's control of Gaza and the deployment of a force of foreign occupiers, also under Trumps control, to disarm the Palestinians.
Scahill said the UN has legitimised the US-Israeli axis of power over Palestinians, and it does nothing to pursue the cause of Palestinians and it allows the Israelis to occupy around 53% of the Gaza strip.
Scahill added: the plan endorsed by the UN requires the Palestinians to disarm in order to get essential aid and reconstruction equipment. The UN should be condemned for its endorsement of a plan that enables Israelis' subjugation and apartheid of Palestinians. The plan means a group of people, Palestinians, are denied their right of self-determination and their right to resist occupation including their right to bear arms to defend themselves from the invader and illegal occupier of their land (the Israelis and other foreigners who dare to assume control of Palestinian land).
"This is an extraordinarily dark moment in the history of the United Nations...it's a sickening day, to be quite honest" said Scahill. Scahill adds the plan was endorsed by "major Arab Islamic countries" (Qatar, Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Jordan, and Turkey, according to the electronic intafada-ref) and by the Palestinian Authority, whose leader's legitimacy is "totally in the toilet".
"We are in the midst of one of the most epic lies of history. We are told that the Palestinian resistance is terrorism. If you study the history of self-determination, anti-colonialism, fights against apartheid, nothing about the Palestinian actions here falls outside of teh scope of the types of actions we've seen of of other causes of national liberation...If you look at the over-arching framework, we are told to believe that these are terrorists, a foreign body that has come into the region...Young people and free-thinking people are recognising the lies that have been told...Objectively-speaking, ..."this [the Palestinian struggle for self-determination] is one of the most legitimate causes of national liberation in the history of humanity" said Scahill.
"Russia and China allowed an unprecedented thing to happen [by abstaining on the UNSC resolution and in so doing they allowed a foreign force to be deployed in Palestine, under the control of Trump" He said "Hamas remains the governing authority" [in Gaza].
Scahill He says "No one talks about disarming Israel...This is the biggest state terrorist in the region and they're being trated as though they have the mandate to be running around with an international force disarming the people that they are committing genocide against. As the Palestinians say, "this [the fake peace plan] is an attempt to win for Israel through this cajoled blackmail agreement that the UN has now rubber-stamped what they [the Israelis] never have been able to achieve through force, which is murdering every single palestinian or forcing them into fourth class residency in a territory made up of tiny little cantons that are administered by collaborators masquerading as Palestinian officials." said Scahill
Francesca Albanese (UN SR) rejected the plan and condemned the UN's adoption of it, saying:
“The ICJ was clear: self-determination is an inalienable right of the Palestinian people and the UN and all States have an obligation to assist in its realisation. This can only begin with the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Israel’s unlawful presence in the occupied Palestinian territory. Replacing an abusive trustee with another is not self-determination, it is unlawful”...“Essentially, it [the so-called plan touted by Trump] will leave Palestine in the hands of a puppet administration, assigning the United States, which shares complicity in the genocide, as the new manager of the open-air prison that Israel has already established.”
She also rejected the intended purpose of the so-called stabilisation force, saying: “They [Palestinians] need a protective international presence that ends Israel’s unlawful occupation, stops the genocide and restores their capacity for self-governance. Protection means lifting the blockade, ensuring unhindered humanitarian access, supporting Palestinian-led governance, guaranteeing the right of return and enforcing international law in full,”
She ended by warning: "“To sideline international law renders the UN complicit, undermines the UN Charter and can only lead to “intensifying human carnage”."... “The international community must not allow Gaza’s future - or the future of the Palestinian people to be decided without their agency and consent. Only an approach rooted in justice, legality, and self-determination can lead to genuine peace.” Read her 19 Nov 2025 full statement, here.
There has been widespread condemnation of the UN's adoption of the plan touted by Trump:
The UN SR on housing, said: "This shameful resolution on Gaza by the UN Security Council is fundamentally inconsistent with international law. It is a colonial fantasy" (ref).
Craig Mokhiber in a video interview on the Electronic Intifada on 20 Nov 2025, said the UN's action was ultra vires (outside its powers of action) and it was against international law, adding that the resolution "strips away the right to self-determination" of the Palestinan people, and it empowers hostile forces to govern the Palestinian people. He said the resolution "superimposes a second US-led occupation on top of the Israeli occupation" "It assigns Palestinian rights to the discretion of the United States in consultation with the Israelis and other partners" He noted the resolution was silent on genocide, redress and accountability, the incarceration of Palestinians in Israeli prisons, or the colonisation of the West Bank by illegal Israeli occupiers.
Mokhiber noted Palestinians have the right under International law to armed resistance against foreign occupation, colonial domination and racist regimes, criteria that have ALL been met in relation to the Israeli invaders of Palestine. The occupation force (OF) will be joining the occupation of Palestine and the oppression of the Palestinian people. He confirmed what others have said "there has been no ceasefire" saying the Israelis have murdered Palestinians, destroyed their homes, and blocked aid. He notes the Trump pathetically-named "board of peace" will control all of Gaza, all services and aid, the movement of people in and out of Gaza, all the funding from the reconstruction of Gaza. "Donald Trump can do whatever he wants in Gaza...it's his private domain" said Mokhiber.
Mokhiber said the rules that apply to UN peace-keeping forces will not apply to Trump's OF in Gaza, and that the OF will forcibly disarm Palestinians in Gaza. Israel will have a say in the operation and composition of the OF. He says the OF "is not going to stand up to Israeli aggression and attacks on [Palestinian] civilians"
Mokhiber notes the resolution forces Palestinians to give up their weapons but there is no equivalent obligation on the perpetrators of the genocide - the Israelis - to give up their weapons.
In summary, he says, the UN resolution aims to control, contain, disarm, and disempower Palestinians without touching the Israelis, and to provide security for the perpetrators of the genocide NOT its victims.
He ends by saying the resolution authorises Israelis to continue to occupy Gaza illegally until the US and the Israelis decide that the Israelis should leave, but even if they decide to leave, Israelis will remain indefinitely in Gaza. The two-year Trump mandate to govern Gaza may be extended with consultation with the Israelis BUT NOT with consultation with the Palestinians. Imagine, a country not having a seat at the table to decide who occupies it and for how long it will be occupied by foreigners.
The Israeli and US wave of devastation and murder that has come crashing down on Palestinians and their land has been energised by the illegality and immorality of these two terror states and by their enablers across the globe. No person who believes in truth and justice could put their name to it, but the members of the UN Security did just that, to their utter and enduring shame.
There is no judicial review of the UN Security Council, no appeal, no recourse, and no judicial review. It has done nothing to stop the genocide of the Palestinians, and it has now actually turned the screw on them with its adoption of this resolution. The UNSC has failed by design.
A key feature of the UNSC is the power of veto held by each of its five permanent members that enables the member to block (veto) a resolution. This means that if the UNSC tries to pass a resolution blocking the renewal of the so-called peace plan, then the US could veto that resolution and renew the plan. Read this piece on how the power to veto has been used by the US to enable the Israelis to continue their persecution and oppression of Palestinians over decades.
Mearsheimer said in an 18 Nov 2025 video interview: "The resolution is disgraceful. I find it hard to believe that this is where we have ended up [given the genocide that has been occurring, that people believe Palestinians should have a state of their own or have some sense of self-determination...This resolution is counter to anything that would be sensible from my point of view." "The Palestinians are treated as though they were colonial victims in the 19th century." "They [the Israelis] won't be content until every Palestinian is driven out of Gaza or murdered." The host notes the violations by the Israelis of the ceasefire, i.e., their military and humanitarian aid violations, and she finds it difficult to believe "the devlish duo can be trusted by anybody".
"I thought they'd [the Chinese and the Russians] go to great lengths to prevent this [it would have provided great optics to the world to see them defending what is obviously an injustice]" The host said it was "shameful" that Algeria voted for the resolution. "I was shocked at Algeria and Pakistan" said Mearsheimer of their decision to approve of adopting the resolution. He was also shocked at the high level of support for the plan from the Arab and Islamic states "I can't believe that these countries didn't uinderstand that this was a terrible deal for the Palestinans." He attributes the failure of the Russian alternative resolution and the support for the US version (that was approved by the UNSC) to Trump's ability to use his leverage on these countries so they do his bidding. The host is sceptical that after 110 weeks of the Israelis trying and failing to obliterate resistance, that a bunch of Indonesians or Pakistanis will succeed where the might of the US and Israeli military have failed - it's laughable, never mind their
desire to murder Palestinians who have the right under international law to resist these foreign invaders.
"Unless you kill everybody, there's no military solution to this conflict" said Mearsheimer "We need a political solution."
What does this resolution have on the UN? "The UN is not an important player...the united states runs the show and the united states is joined at the hip with Israel...the UN just doesn't matter." he said. "The United States doesn't take international law seriously at all...and it's going to lead [the disregard for rules-based order] to just more trouble" he adds. The host recalls a description during Biden's time, about rules-based order: "We make the rules and you follow our orders"
The fact that the Israelis flaunted their barbaric behaviour on Tik Tok...and allowed people...to see what they were up to has had a devastating impact on how many people think about Israel and how they think about America's relationship with Israel." He notes that while there has been a sea-change down below (at the level of ordinary US citizens), "the problem is at the policy level, there has hardly been any change at all...in terms of how we [USA] should deal with Israel." says Mearsheimer. He talks of the "special relationship" the US has with Israel and says: "We [the USA] support Israel unconditionally" "The Israelis own president Trump" On the question of whether or not Biden or Trump could have done more to puchback against the Israelis and their genocide, Mearsheimer says one should not underestimate the extent of problems the Israeli lobby can cause for a dissenting president. "The lobby is just so powerful" he says.
Mearsheimer notes that Trump was able to get the Israelis to stop the genocide so it would not interfere with is inaugeration, and the Israelis obeyed, but Mearsheimer points out the break gave the Israelis a chance to regroup and to "reload the shotgun" and they did so two months after the inaugeration, and Trump did nothing to stop the Israelis restarting their genocide. Mearsheimer also points out that Trump's advisers are super-zionists", such as Khushner and Witkoff.
Mearsheimer defines the "Israel lobby" as a coalition of people who want to maintain the "special relationship" between the US and Israel (which is that the US will do Israel's bidding "no matter what"), and that includes Jews (but not all Jews) and christian-zionists. It includes tech companies, the NYT, Wall St Journal: "[Wall St is] basically like a mouthpiece for Netanyahu govt", US government, including chuck Schumer who says he is a "protector of Israel", plus Randy Fine, Marco Rubio, Blinken - "these are people who are "zionists on steroids" " he says.
Mearsheimer says the lobby got three ivy-league presidents fired: Harvard, Penn, and Columbia. He explains the two-pronged strategy used by the lobby to shut off dissent on university and college campuses: the threat to end university donations from a) rich Jewish and zionist donors and b) from the government.
He adds that there is no freedom of speech anymore on campuses "It shows you the damage that Israel, its supporters in the united states and the lobby more generally have done to freedom of speech here in the united states."
Mokhiber gave this interview on Reason2Resist on 18 Nov 2025, in which he provided further insights into the shameful adoption of the UNSC resolution. With the host, they undertake a detailed analysis and interpretation of the points enumerated in the resolution.
The UN Security Council (UNSC) adopted Resolution 2803 (2025) on 17 Nov 2025 (read the text, here).

The twisted mind of Sara Hurwitz
20 Nov 2025
The Majority Report published a video today in which Seder expresses his shock at the views of a Jew (Sara Hurwitz) who said to an audience of Jews (Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly):
"You have Tik Tok mashing our young people's brains all day long with video of carnage in Gaza, and this is why many of us can't have a sane conversation with younger Jews, because anything we try to say to them, they're hearing it through this wall of carnage...and I sound obscene" she says
Her agrument is that people (young jews) have become insane (irrational) by seeing what the Israelis are doing to Palestinians in Gaza or in the West Bank, and so people (older Jews) cannot have a sane conversation with them.
Seder says her argument is the same as saying that people's perspective of the Vietnam war was irrational because they had seen real footage of what was happening in the Vietnam war.
"She is basically saying that the introduction of actually being able to see what is going on in Gaza...makes you completely irrational", said Seder. Seder adds that she is saying that young people, because they're impressionable, are getting the wrong idea about what is going on in Gaza, because they're seeing video of it. Her argument is, to any rational and reasonable person, false and irrational.
She goes on to say the use of (Jewish) "holocaust education to serve as antisemitism education...is beginning to breakdown [in this new media environment]" She says "I think holocaust education might be confusing some of our young people about antisemitism, because they learn about big strong Nazis hurting weak emaciated Jews, and they think oh, antisemitism is like anti-black racism right: powerful white people against powerless black people, so when on Tik Tok all day long they see powerful Israelis hurting weak, skinny, Palestinians, it's not surpirsing that they think: oh I know the lesson of the holocaust is you fight Israel: you fight the big powerful people hurting the weak people." she says
"The idea that holocaust education was...to be antisemitism education...is...grotesque...To so easily move from antisemitism to being against what Israel is doing in Gaza, as if these are the same things...there is a psychological problem that is going on here with this person." said Seder.
Seder poses the possibility that perhaps this person refuses to believe (in reality); perhaps it's impossible for those images of Gaza to penetrate and affect her; perhaps they are images that she refuses to believe. "I was so shocked to see this video [of this woman expressing such views]" said Seder
That was Seder's take on Hurwitz. This is what Ahmed Shihab Eldin had to say on her remarks:
"Former Obama and Michelle Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz made stunning remarks at the Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly, openly admitting that Israel is losing the narrative because young people are seeing the uncensored carnage in Gaza on social media. Hurwitz complains that Holocaust education has “backfired,” that students now side with the oppressed, and that she “sounds obscene” trying to justify Israel’s actions while people are watching Gaza’s destruction in real time. This clip exposes a rare moment when a pro-Israel insider says the quiet part out loud: the problem isn’t the atrocities — the problem is that the world can SEE them." (see her make them in this video clip, here).
My take on her remarks is SHE is the one in denial and SHE is the one who refuses to accept reality for what it really is. She is twisting the reality and saying young Jews are confused when they are not confused nor are they irrational. SHE, not young Jews, is the one who is irrational and who is deluded because she refuses to accept reality. She is another example of how those people who support the Israelis, twist reality 180 degrees.
On the holocaust education, young Jews are making the right assessment when they equate Israelis with Nazis and equate emaciated Jews in the holocaust with emaciated Palestinians today. They are also right to take from the holocaust education that they should oppose the powerful who oppress the powerless, even if that means opposing oppressive Jews. She cannot equate such opposition to these Jews as being antisemitic.
This is Kulinski's outrage at this woman's remarks.
Grayzone published a video, here, on 01/12/2025 about her comments. Grayzone's analysis is more comprehensive.
Grayzone's Mate says Holocaust education is to indoctrinate Jews to believe: "Jews are a special class; they're worthy of protection, but no one else is". Blumenthal says Hurwitz is worried young jews are being exposed to the carnage inflicted by the jews (zionists) and they are turning away from zionism.
Blumental say Hurwitz does not want young jews to equate the holocaust that is happening in Palestine (by the Jews) to the holocaust that happened in Germany (to the Jews), i.e, Hurwitz does not want young jews to see the Palestinians as the Jews of WWII, "which is the correct perspective" said Blumenthal "she wants Jews to be dumb" says Blumenthal - "She wants Jews to get back on the zionist plantation" says Blumenthal, to stay in their "elite ghettos" in the US and not be exposed to an alternative to zionism.
Mate says Hurwitz doesn't want to stop the carnage (as that carnage is a wall preventing young jews from becoming zionists) but she wants young jews to stop seeing the carnage and to stop feeling bad about the carnage and to stop opposing it, that is the problem for her, Mate says. "This is the psychosis of the cult of ziontology" says Blumenthal about Hurwitz.
In the video, Hurwitz says children (young jews) should be denied smartphones, to give ther brains a chance and their mental health a chance, to which Blumenthal says: she wants to brainwash them by denying them smartphones.
It is odd to me that Hurwitz should think seeing the holocaust by Jews of Palestinians is somehow causing brain damage and stress to young jews, when what it is doing is showing them the reality of jews doing to Palestinians what Germans did to jews durijng WWII. Hurwitz is therefore equating seeing the reality of what jews are doing as causing mental stress and brain damage to young jews so her solution is to deny them any access to such images and so to deny them the truth. In short she is saying keep these young jews away from seeing reality. She is "someone who laments the fact that young people can see dead Palestinian children killed by Israel", says Mate. "This is really the way zionists in this post October 7 era think" says Blumenthal, who repeats a quote that says something along the lines of: "Gaza will expose everything, and it has exposed them [zionists]"
Mate says Hurwitz should be de-programmed and expresses concern that these kinds of radicals are in power. "She is exposing the real pathology of zionists after this genocide, which is that they can't find anything wrong with the genocide. The only thing wrong is with the people who oppose it" says Blumenthal.
