There are many reasons why basic maths skills are important:
1) to feel confident,
2) to save money when shopping, 3) to pay bills,
4) to help your children with their homework,
5) to pay less interest on loans, 6) to earn more interest on savings,
7) to get a better job, or
8) to enrol on a course.
To be eligible for free Multiply courses, you must be
1) at least 19 years of age,
2) not have GCSE maths grade C or 4 or equivalent, and
3) be resident in the UK.
Courses are usually 3 hours long and held at local venues in London, or held online using Zoom.
Permjit Singh is a qualified teacher and academic mentor with a PhD in finance.
